Blessed Boundaries<\/strong><\/p>\n

When engaged in conversation
\nthat attempts to weigh you down
\nremind them of the scriptures
\nbefore they make you frown.
\nWe should order our conversation
\nto see the Salvation of The Lord
\nIt should be pleasing to the hearers
\na blessing we could afford.
\nSo if you want to talk to me
\nthen you’d be truly wise
\nif you refrain from negativity
\nand reports of strife.
\nI’ll be careful not to lend my ears
\nto endless talk that leads to tears.
\nBecause I value the Peace within me
\nit’s a precious gift from Jesus
\nHe gives to keep us Free.<\/p>\n

Time for Change<\/strong><\/p>\n

You’ve made my life unrestful
\nyou really ought to know
\nwith your discontents
\nyour perception has been slow.
\nEach time you share your hardships
\nit casts shadows on my day.
\nWhere are the days that we once had
\nthat used to make me glad?
\nYou’ve become so serious
\nwhy don’t you offload on God?
\nHis shoulders are much bigger than mine
\nHe has more energy and the time
\nto hear your needs but also make free.
\nPlease choose Him next time instead of me
\nfor I have challenges too
\nI was not meant to be in your shoes
\nI’d like to rest where skies are blue.
\nMy heart used to be so free in God
\nwhile walking on this earthly sod.
\nI’m making a choice to return once more
\nwould you like to join me
\nit’s like pleasant shores?
\nIf not my friend, I must go my way
\nto find myself some better days.<\/p>\n

Choose Wisely<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once I had some friendships
\nthat went like sour grapes
\nhey used to be so sweet they really were a treat.
\nTake care with whom you share your secrets
\nand aspirations in life
\nMake sure it is a proven friend who will not give you strife.
\nIf life becomes too much for them
\ndo not your confidence lend
\nfor their moods can be unstable
\neven at your table.
\nMake them a casual acquaintance
\nand do not give them entrance
\nto the inner circle of your heart
\nbe careful from the start
\nto see their true nature not just at their best
\nMake sure they are consistent so you have rest.
\nAnd if you can trust them you’re truly blessed
\nyou’ve found a friend indeed.<\/p>\n
