JESUS was God Manifest 2000 yrs ago…prophets spoke of Him…there is no major prophet after Him. Branham actually sought to change the Counsel of God…he is not the last antichrist either…but so many are still bound to a Lie. You need to know the Facts!<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/i><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
I am informing you about a self-claimed prophet to the End-Time Church by the name of William Marion Branham<\/strong> and his following referred to as The Message<\/strong>. They often refer to themselves Bible Believers but that is only partly true because they have a book and collection of taped messages by WMB called The Spoken Word they place equal importance to the Bible<\/strong>. In fact, when it comes down to it, most Message people place more importance on these than the Bible<\/strong>. That my friend, is to\u00a0undervalue<\/u> God’s\u00a0<\/span>Holy Word and place yourself at risk<\/strong> because the Apostle Paul spoke to Timothy saying <\/span>that\u00a0everything<\/u>\u00a0must be lined up with and measured by the Holy Scriptures\u00a0<\/span>(2 Tim 3:16, 17)\u00a0and God’s counsel has not changed!<\/strong> In Deuteronomy, Moses gave strict guidelines concerning who is a prophet (from God) and who is not. (<\/span>Deuteronomy 13:1-3)<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
We would do well to heed these scriptures<\/strong>. Especially in these Last Days because there is all manner of persuasion out there and The Message is the most strongly persuasive and aimed specifically at Christians. The Enemy had an agenda, and that was to split, divide and weaken the Church through the false-prophet <\/span>William Marion Branham who had a very questionable background – his family’s affiliations included.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
According to his own words<\/strong>, he was actually a boxer, walking in disobedience to a<\/span><\/div>\n
‘divine commission’ before he was saved and this was determined by a ‘star sign’
<\/span><\/div>\n
(astrology God condemns) to give truth to the End-Time Church.\u00a0The truth is<\/b>\u00a0that he<\/span><\/div>\n
was actually commissioned by a lady Astrologist – he went on her advice after “walking in rebellion”. <\/span><\/div>\n
He also delved into the Teachings of the Mormon Church<\/strong> and a
<\/span><\/div>\n
second cult__ a Trinity forsaken one, called Oneness Pentecostals who do not believe<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
in Deity<\/strong> (the God-Head revealed in scripture<\/em> – Father, Son and Holy Spirit).<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
He also held his meetings in the same building as the Masonic Lodge<\/strong>, but that
<\/span><\/div>\n
was OK because his family already associated with people from that cult.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
I suppose you are wondering why someone with such a colorful history and affiliations <\/span><\/div>\n
could possibly attract believers in the Living God? EASY, SIGNS and WONDERS!<\/span><\/div>\n
And of very questionable origin at that.<\/strong> You will know as you read on!<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
He quoted a lot of verses from the Bible but many were actually\u00a0out of context<\/u>.<\/span><\/div>\n
He was instructed by ‘an angel’ that<\/strong> he must persuade people to believe he was<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
God’s prophet…….that is the devil’s tactics because our God never works that way…….<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
not with Abraham or Moses or the Apostles: so the writing’s on the wall, is’nt it?<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Sad to say, followers of The Message weigh everything up by his words<\/strong> (bible comes second in reality). Some will weigh things with the Bible……this is with blindfolds on because they are so indoctrinated (with equal submission to Muslims, through taped messages they hear on a frequent basis).

\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
At the same time I am addressing these things, I must say that despite all this, these followers display more dedication to The Lord in their daily lives and love for each-other than most Christians do__ placing more value on certain scriptures than we do. If that sounds like an indictment, maybe it is! But be careful. Party-Spirit, <\/b><\/span>condemned<\/b><\/span> in Scripture i very strong among them – becoming more important to them than Family Members AND Other Believers – that’s destructive and reprehensible.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Branham Followers (Message Believers) have Legalistic Demands too – some
<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
of them crippling, at least to their children and family members if not to them personally!<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Maybe we would do well to listen closely to the testimonies of those\u00a0 who have come
<\/span><\/div>\n
out of delusions. Three groups rely strongly on a man for Eternal Life and cannot see anything outside that square box until the delusion breaks. It can be very frustrating.
<\/span><\/div>\n
Each one believes in the\u00a0Infallibility<\/u>\u00a0of a Book they deem as more important than the Bible. The Muslim with the Koran, the Mormon with the Book of Joseph Smith and the Message Believer with The Spoken Word and Tapes called the Voice of God.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
There is something in common about the three so-called men of God: they all displayed\u00a0unbalanced character traits<\/b>\u00a0and were guilty of sinful relations or affiliations; they all looked for the truth and found a lie and were even found to lie – this can be established. <\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
And in fact, WMB was found to be\u00a0unteachable<\/u>\u00a0when preachers sought to help him.
<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Are you going to respect someone like that more than the Bible that has stood the
<\/span><\/div>\n
Test of Time? Each of these men were actually unstable.<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
The following material between these lines comes from concerned
<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
servants of God.<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

Other claims of Branham were:<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
a) He was Elijah the prophet, the seventh angelic messenger to the Laodicean Church Age (Footprints on the Sands of Time, p. 620),<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
b) Anyone belonging to any denomination had taken “the mark of the beast” (Footprints on the Sands of Time, pp. 627, 629, 643, 648).<\/span><\/div>\n
c) He received divinely inspired revelations (The Revelation of the Seven Seals, Branham: Spoken Word Publications, Tucson, Ariz., n.d. p. 19; Questions and Answers, Book 1, Branham: Spoken Word Publications, Tucson, 1964 p. 60.)<\/span><\/div>\n
Eventually the majority of his followers believed he could teach no error. He was, and still is, idolized by most, even worshiped, by some of his followers.<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
BRANHAM’S MINISTRY\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Even though it can be verified that healings and supernatural occurrences were seen at Branham’s rallies we have\u00a0no scriptural authority to use these manifestations to prove or disprove the man was sent from God<\/i>. Branham’s doctrines and teachings<\/span><\/div>\n
are what should be examined first.<\/b>\u00a0He claimed to be the<\/span><\/div>\n
“prophet to bring the Christian church into final truth,”<\/i>\u00a0 If his doctrines are\u00a0unscriptural<\/b>\u00a0then the man and his ministry\u00a0must be re-evaluated.<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Well known Pentecostal preachers of the time such as Gordon Lindsey, Oral Roberts, T L Osborn and Ern Baxter seem to have accepted Branham as a “great man of God”\u00a0because of his humble spirit and his ability to work miracles.<\/i>\u00a0Humility and miracles\u00a0do not have any scriptural justification for acceptance<\/b>\u00a0of a persons’ claim to be from God.\u00a0There are many who are not Christians who manifest a meek and humble demeanor such as Buddhist priests.<\/i>\u00a0They are noted for these traits and have turned many westerners to their beliefs because of it.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Miracles by themselves<\/strong>\u00a0are\u00a0not<\/u>\u00a0scriptural indicators<\/b>\u00a0of being from God either. <\/span><\/div>\n
The magicians of Pharaoh’s court duplicated many of God’s miracles performed through Moses<\/span><\/div>\n
(Ex 7:10-13).\u00a0Paul speaks of lying signs and wonders ascribed to the power of the evil one<\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
(2 Thess 2:8-9) Satan can work miracles and does not mind God getting the glory\u00a0
<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
when it suits his purpose<\/b>\u00a0– blinding people\u00a0<\/span>to follow after other gods or false prophets.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Some Christians are quick to point out claimants to be God’s prophet such as Joseph Smith, Ellen White or Mary Baker Eddy. We should insist that ANYONE claiming to be ‘God’s prophet’ or spokesperson be examined and apply the same standards to those who are working within the mainstream churches to this same scrutiny\u00a0lest we be led astray.<\/i>\u00a0Branham’s teachings about God\u00a0must be measured<\/b>\u00a0against the Bible.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Indeed, Branham fails both the Matthew and Deuteronomy tests.<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Evidence exists that Branham was doctrinally aberrant<\/i>\u00a0from the inception of his popular healing campaigns. Charismatic evangelist Ern Baxter was with Branham at the height of his popularity from 1947 to 1954. In an article in the December 1978 New Wine Magazine, Baxter wrote:\u00a0“when he would speak, especially in those early days, he would say some things that were terribly provocative.<\/b>\u00a0To me, (they were) unnecessarily so. So when we talked together, we agreed that apart from his giving testimonies and relating his life story,\u00a0I would do all the speaking<\/b>\u00a0and he would do all the ministry to the sick. That was the way it was when we were together” (pg. 56). As time progressed, Branham’s doctrine\u00a0deviated further and further<\/b>\u00a0from the standard.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
As mentioned above, there is evidence that supernatural signs did occur at Branham’s meetings <\/span><\/div>\n
(A Prophet Visits pp. 48-195).\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
The healings and prophecies purportedly came through an angel that was always with Branham on stage and continually gave him counsel and revelations<\/b>\u00a0(William Branham: His Life and Teachings, Kathie Adler; Narrow Way Ministries, Holbrook, N.Y., 1986; pp. 3-5)\u00a0This has given rise to the charges by some Christian researchers that Branham practiced counterfeit healings<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
(Between Christ and Satan, Kurt E. Koch; Kregel Publications, Grand Rapids, Mich., 1971; pp. 149-150).\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
It is equally evident that Branham taught\u00a0an unscriptural view of God<\/b>\u00a0that would
<\/span><\/div>\n
put him under the “strange god”<\/strong> clause of Deuteronomy 13:1-3:<\/span><\/div>\n
“What is God? God is a great Eternal. At the beginning, way back before there was a beginning, He wasn’t even God. Did you know that? A god is an object of worship, and there wasn’t nothing to worship him; He lived alone. And in Him was attributes. What is an attribute? A thought.”<\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Moreover, true to his early oneness Pentecostal teachings, Branham denied the biblical Triune Godhead.<\/strong><\/i><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0He pronounced it a<\/span><\/div>\n
“gross error”<\/b><\/span> (The Spoken Word, pg. 79) and as\u00a0<\/span>a prophet with the authority of a <\/span><\/div>\n
“Thus saith the Lord,” revealed that “trinitarianism is
<\/span><\/div>\n
of the devil” (Footprints, pg. 606). Signs and wonders? Yes. Strange gods?<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
\n
Yes. False prophet? Absolutely!<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Branham also failed the test of a true prophet in that his predictions did not come true with accuracy: “Based on these seven visions, along with the rapid changes which swept the world in the last 50 years, I predict (I do not prophesy) that these visions will have all come to pass by 1977……………..” \u00a0(Seven Church Ages, pg. 322).<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Despite the fact that Branham tried to qualify his statement by saying he “predicted” rather than “prophesied” certain events, any time a prophet of God speaks under divine inspiration,\u00a0it is a prophecy<\/i>.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
It is now 1988. The United States has not been destroyed, the world’s systems have not been terminated, and the Millennium has not begun.<\/i>\u00a0(at the time this Article was written). Therefore we can conclude that\u00a0Branham was Not a true prophet of God.<\/b>\u00a0 It is fortunate for Christian researchers that almost every word Branham uttered from the pulpit in Branham Tabernacle was recorded and transcribed.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
To the Branham follower, it is the “spoken word,” on an equal footing with the Bible. To the investigator, it is confirmation that Branham’s teachings were definitely not from God.<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
A Lesson To Be Learned<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0Instead of a clearly articulated theology based on inductive Bible study,\u00a0sometimes<\/u>\u00a0the Pentecostal\/Charismatic movement has derived its teachings from personal experience and then tried to find scripture to authenticate those experiences. Where no scriptural authentication\u00a0can be found<\/u>,\u00a0“special revelation knowledge”\u00a0is often appealed to<\/u>.<\/i>\u00a0This has led to a superstar mentality<\/strong> that\u00a0often pervades the movement.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Branham DENIED the Deity of Jesus Christ:\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cHe was\u2013He was Jesus when He was born. But when the Holy Ghost came upon Him after His baptism, He was anointed with God. God was in Him, \u2019cause He come to fulfill the Word.\u201d \u2013The Messiah, January 17, 1961\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

Unbelievable! William Branham DENIES Jesus Christ. Anyone who says that William Branham is a man of God is deluded, deceived and follows the teachings of <\/span>an anti-Christ.<\/span><\/div>\n

The bible says,\u00a0John 1 v 1-14<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 The Deity of Jesus Christ:<\/span><\/div>\n
\u201c1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

Branham taught that God is NOT Omnipresent:<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
Branham said, \u201cNow, you cannot be omnipresent without being omniscient. God\u2019s not even omnipresent; God\u2019s omniscient. Omniscient which means \u2013 makes Him omnipresent (He knows all things). But in order to be a being He has to be in one being.\u201d \u2013The Masterpiece, 1964 (tape #64-0705)<\/i><\/span><\/b><\/div>\n

The bible says:\u00a0Jeremiah 23:23-24<\/a><\/span><\/div>\n

\u201cI am a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? Do I not fill Heaven and Earth? saith The Lord.\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

Branham believes he was the ONLY Prophet:<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
Now, God always uses a\u2013a prophet, a man. If you use a bunch of men, you get different ideas (See?); each man, two men. Never did He have two major prophets on the earth at one time. He takes one, so the other one can take its place for another day, another message. The difference between Branham and the TRUE prophets of the bible were that the TRUE prophets of the bible were\u00a0not<\/u>\u00a0confused, never presented two different ideas, never got their message \u2018scrupled up\u2019 and most importantly their words were God\u2019s words hence\u00a0they appear in the Word of God<\/u>. Unlike Branham who preached a DIFFERENT gospel.<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n

Branham believed he was commissioned by God to OPEN the SEVEN SEALS in Revelations:<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
Branham said, \u201cI saw seven angels in the form of a pyramid that swept down, picked me up and was brought east to open the seven seals of God\u201d \u2013William Branham, Standing In the Gap \u2013 63-0623.1M.<\/i><\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
Revelations 5 v 1-10\u00a0says;<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
\u201c1 Then I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, \u201cWho is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?\u201d 3 But no one in Heaven or on Earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. 4 I wept and wept because NO-ONE was found who was Worthy to open the scroll or look inside. 5 Then one of the elders said to me, \u201cDo not weep!\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
HE is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.\u201d<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n

So, is William Branham saying he is the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David \u2013 Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of the One and Only Living God? It must be, because William Branham said it, and if William Branham said that God commissioned him to open the book and loose the seals then who are we to argue, I mean really, the Bible must be wrong, completely wrong!<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n

AND HOW IS IT THAT PENTECOSTAL PASTORS IN PARTICULAR ARE QUICK TO GIVE THEIR<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
ENDORSEMENTS TO ALMOST ANYONE WHO STANDS ON TWO FEET AND SAYS<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
“THUS SAYS THE LORD………” ESPECIALLY IF THEY DO SOMETHING IMPRESSIVE?<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

YOU HAVE NOT ONLY FAILED TO JUDGE AS PAUL TELLS US TO IN SCRIPTURE – YOU DO NOT<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

True healings<\/u> from Jesus occur when our focus is ON HIM and our confession of faith is in His Words \u2013 He is exalted by our praise and worship and Man does Not get the Glory. True healings occur when our trust<\/u> is wholly ON HIM \u2013 our focus is fixed on Him \u2013 NO prophet or preacher, just JESUS.<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

Branham shifted the focus from God to man, from Jesus’ Words to his words. He\u00a0lured people<\/u>\u00a0to his doctrines by enticing \u201csigns\u201d making a following for himself of ‘do as I tell you’ believers, who

Scripture says \u201cLooking to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our Faith\u201d NO man, NOT one.<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
No prophet, preacher or angel can do these things. God only trusted\u00a0Himself<\/u>\u00a0to this!<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

“On many past occasions and in many different ways, God spoke to our fathers through the prophets.\u00a0But in these last days<\/u><\/span>\u00a0He has spoken to us by HIS SON, whom He appointed Heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God\u2019s glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by\u00a0His powerful word<\/u><\/span>. The prophets of old were moved by His Spirit to speak. Branham got all his instructions from an angel (spirit). He sought to change the Counsel of God the apostle Paul and others in Scripture have given us. YES, Paul did say \u201cBut even if we or an angel from Heaven should preach to you a different Gospel, let him be accursed\u201d (let the Judgement of God come on them) Gal 1:8<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

Even then, when Christianity was New, Paul said \u201cThere are some (false apostles) who trouble you and want to\u00a0pervert<\/i>\u00a0the Gospel of Christ\u201d. And he was astonished at these Christians for so quickly turning to a\u00a0different<\/i>\u00a0Gospel after finding God’s Grace and Comfort in Christ. Gal 1:6,7 <\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

Paul also said that the Gospel he preached came to him by a revelation (unveiling) of JESUS CHRIST \u2013 not some angel or anyone else! <\/b><\/span>He never claimed the appraisal of men.<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

YES, Paul and\u00a0every other<\/u>\u00a0Apostle and Prophet ALWAYS turned our attention on CHRIST and GOD ALMIGHTY. That is the Focal Point and Nature of ALL those who ARE called to preach, teach and heal. To settle for any less is to leave yourself open to False Doctrines and Counterfeit Healing.<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

There are counterfeit healers and workers of ‘signs and wonders’ in the world who lure people away from Christ. They were in bible times and they are on the increase Today. <\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

You have been born again, not of perishable seed (man’s words) but of imperishable \u2013 the Living abiding Word of God that Abides Forever. \u201cThis is the Gospel we preached to you\u201d said Paul. \u201cHeaven and Earth shall pass away but\u00a0My Words<\/u>\u00a0shall\u00a0never<\/u>\u00a0pass away” said JESUS. \u00a0His Word is referred to as a \u201cTwo-Edged Sword, dividing between soul and spirit\u201d. <\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

We need to take His Word and separate those other things we have heard \u2013 that lure our souls \u2013 from our spirit: the candle of The Lord, the place He resides…..so we can hear His Voice CLEARLY once more.<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

Another thing is that our affections and allegiance belongs to GOD ALONE. Jesus said to \u201cLove The Lord your God with ALL heart, mind and strength\u201d……how can we do this with our affections divided because we’re so dedicated to some prophet or platform preacher? You defend him more than you do your God and swear allegiance?<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

The Lord said that \u201cthe people were without a shepherd\u201d – this should not be you. He is the only TRUE SHEPHERD and He said that His sheep hear His Voice, not that of a stranger. Friends, it’s strangers who present Him differently than He did HIMSELF \u2013 don’t heed their teachings!<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
